Eye Tuck/Lift (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty is performed on the eyelids to remove excess skin and fat from either upper, lower or both upper and lower lids. A very popular operation and can provide a great degree of improvement in facial appearance.
When meeting another person the first area noted are the eyes and as the saying goes "first impressions last." This operation will not remove crows feet. It can be done either under local or general anaesthesia.
Both men and women benefit from this procedure. In men I leave a little more skin behind on the upper lids to conceal the scar line should it be visible. Ladies have the benefit of makeup which can easily conceal any residual scarring. Bruising is to be expected and will clear in two weeks on average.
Some temporary loss of sensation can be expected in the lashes for up to six weeks.
- Time: Single lid 45 minutes

- Hospital stay: Home same day.
- Back to work: Depends upon bruising but usually 1 week.
- Driving a car: 5 days
- Exercise: Light at 3 weeks. Full at 6 weeks.
